MSD Pump Station
Greycliff & Villas at Ladue Bluffs Developments
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District pump stations at Greycliff and Villas at Ladue Bluffs are examples of the municipal pumping applications that are required when home building expands into areas where the hilly topography prevents gravity drain into force mains. St. Louis County has many residential developments with the type of hills and valleys that necessitate pump stations.
The MSD pump stations are built of concrete and contain properly sized pumps, motors, electrical controls, variable frequency drives, gate and check valves, stainless steel guide rails and various types of accessory hardware. Pump stations function by pumping home waste upward toward a force main against a static and friction head at the desired flow rate.
